Introduction#

amazee.io is committed to conducting its business activities with integrity, transparency, and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to anti-bribery and anti-corruption.

This policy outlines our commitment to preventing bribery and corruption in all its forms, and sets forth the principles and guidelines for the conduct of our employees, contractors and any other parties acting on behalf of amazee.io.

Scope#

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and any other parties acting on behalf of amazee.io (collectively referred to as "Company Representatives"), with the aim to ensure that they act in the best interests of the company and its stakeholders.

Bribery and Corruption Prohibited#

amazee.io strictly prohibits any form of bribery, corruption, extortion, or any unlawful inducement , whether direct or indirect, in connection with its business activities.

Principles#

The following principles guide our commitment to preventing bribery and corruption:

  • Zero Tolerance: amazee.io maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards bribery and corruption. Compliance with Laws: Company Representatives must comply with all applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws and regulations in their respective jurisdictions, and in any jurisdictions where amazee.io conducts business.
  • Gifts, Hospitality, and Entertainment: Giving or receiving gifts, hospitality, or entertainment must be reasonable, transparent, and for legitimate business purposes. They should not be intended to influence or induce improper conduct.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Company Representatives must avoid situations that may create conflicts of interest or compromise their impartiality in business transactions. Any questions or concerns about potential conflicts of interest may be directed to HR for clarification.
  • Due Diligence: Prior to engaging with third parties, such as business partners or agents, Company Representatives must conduct due diligence to assess their integrity and compliance with anti-corruption laws.
  • Reporting: Company Representatives must promptly report any suspected or observed violations of this policy to their Lead or HR, or through the designated reporting channels.

Training and Education#

amazee.io will provide regular training and education to Company Representatives on anti-bribery and anti-corruption matters to ensure awareness and compliance with this policy.

Consequences of Violation#

Violations of this policy will result in appropriate disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment or contractual relationship, as well as potential legal action.

Reporting Mechanism#

If any person acting on behalf of amazee.io should become aware of any potential violation of this policy, they must report it immediately to their Lead directly, HR (hr@amazee.io), or through #team-bizops-help Slack channel, or via the BizOps Support Form.

amazee.io is committed to safeguarding the identity and protecting the rights of whistleblowers. We recognize the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of whistleblowers' identities and ensure that they will not face retaliation, discrimination, or harassment for reporting suspected wrongdoing. The identity of whistleblowers will be kept anonymous unless they explicitly consent to disclosure.

Definitions#

Bribery is the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official, or other person, in charge of a public or legal duty. Corruption is the dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those entrusted in a position of authority, in order to acquire illicit benefits or abuse power for one's personal gain. Extortion is the practice of obtaining benefit through through force or threats. Unlawful inducement is the act of making direct offers to members of a recognised union, if the purpose of the offer is to circumvent collective bargaining arrangements.
